IMPORTANT FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What do I need to do to get Physical Therapy? Unfortunately, Alabama is not a “direct access” state; I cannot just see patients who walk through the door. I will need a prescription from your doctor in order to initiate Physical Therapy. Our fax number is 1.251.625.2112. Just ask your doctor to fax the order to me, we’ll take care of the rest.
What if my doctor has a Physical Therapist and he/she has ordered me to go to therapy there?
YOU HAVE A CHOICE AS TO WHERE YOU HAVE THERAPY! There is absolutely nothing wrong or illegal with a doctor having a P.T. department…however, you have a choice as to where you have therapy, even if you’ve already started therapy at another facility, you can still come to me…it is YOUR CHOICE.
How do I pay?
I have teamed-up with Rehab Management Services, LLC in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to manage my billing. We accept most insurance including Medicare B, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, TriCare, Workman’s Comp, Humana, and many others… call for details.
We also set-up private pay contracts. We DO NOT collect co-pays at each visit; rather, we discreetly bill you by mail on a monthly basis.
I’ve been to Physical Therapy before and ended-up hurting more!
This is a common complaint that I hear from patients. For post-operative orthopedic patients in particular, pain is very big issue. I will always respect your pain. I treat patients just like I would want them to treat me. I will never take you past your pain tolerance, when you say you’ve had enough, I stop…Period! I will take you to your pain threshold, but not through it. With neck and back pain patients, I will make every effort to decrease your pain before progressing to exercise. Please refer to patient testimonials with respect to this sensitive issue.
